Sunday Worship

Worship with us each Sunday at 10 a.m.

Worship at the Gorham Congregational Church is a wonderful mix of formal and informal.  Each week the liturgy is built around the Bible themes for that week.  It’s the kind of understandable and life-related liturgy you will want to take home with you.  Praying the prayers we used on Sunday can help make God’s presence alive to you each day.  So the liturgy is “formal.”  But worship is led in an informal way that gives everyone the freedom to be human, to be real, and to experience God’s loving acceptance.

Each Sunday, Pastor Gerry Tilton leads worship.  She loves to preach.  Her sermons create a deep understanding of the Bible, are filled with hope, and make practical application to our daily lives.  We sing a wide variety of hymns and songs accompanied by piano.

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Holy Communion.  The bread and cup are sacraments Jesus gives us—tangible ways to receive his gracious, forgiving, life-giving presence.  Everyone is invited to take and eat, that is, to intentionally place His presence at the center of our lives.  Everyone is welcome to receive the bread and cup.  No one is pressured.   Our bread is gluten-free, our cup is grape juice.  We would love to have you join us for worship, Sundays at 10 am.
